The following instructions are for creating a high-quality QuickTime video that will play on an internal share or local machine. To encode a QuickTime file you need to have QuickTime Pro installed on your computer. The standard QuickTime Player will allow you to view files, but you cannot modify them. QuickTime Pro is not a free application. The software costs approximately $30, but is is often bundles as a part of other editing software like Final Cut Pro, Premier and Media Composer.
